This junction box is extremely well made and exactly what I would expect from Hikvision. It has below and rear entry for easy access. When the front plate removed, it has a cable that stops you dropping the camera during installation. Would certainly recommend this and likely to purchase again in the future. This is a must have if you are mounting on a wall and running cable externally to an entrance to the property. Its solid construction with ample room to keep the ethernet cable waterproof. Its easy to install but I did find the exit a little too large for 6-7mm cable. Luckly I had some rubber gromets that fitted and was able to pass the ethernet cable through those to fully waterproof the internals. All in all an excelent product. (Posted on 21 December 2017)

As I didn't want to drill through my garage wall I decided this was the next best thing. I've had this for a number of months and we've had a number of days of rain battering weather and this box has kept the cables inside dry. (Posted on 6 January 2017)

Surface mounting for HIKVision DS-2CD2042WD-I WDR 4 mm 4MP bullet camera Review by CAP
I used this junction box to hide the cable connections for a high level wall mounted HIKVision DS-2CD2042WD-I WDR 4 mm 4MP bullet camera. I opted for rear cable entry and used the rear blanking screw to cover the bottom surface cable entry gland which I did not need. Very happy with the mounting solution which matches the sleek camera design. Only negative was it was a bit tight getting the RJ-45 moisture fitting positioned in the available space - was a bit fiddly. Maybe this cable fitting could be made slightly shorter to give better positioning within the recess of the junction box space. This site offered the best price on the web in the UK so would highly recommend this item. (Posted on 28 November 2016)
