Milesight VCA has 8 detection modes; - Region entrance and region exiting ~ the two functions are used to alert when people/object enter/exit a specific area. - Advanced motion detection ~ with more intelligent features than traditional motion detection, advanced motion detection can filter out 'noise' such as lighting changes, tree movement etc. Parameters can be set to detect various movements depending on requirements. - Tamper detection ~ triggers an alarm when there is an attempt to move the camera or a suspicious object/person is obstructing the camera view. - Line crossing ~ when enable, an event will be triggered everytime an object crosses the virtual line. - Loitering ~ an alarm is triggered when an object stays in a specified area for a certain length of time. - Human detection ~ this can be used to determine if an object is human or not. - People counting ~ counts how many people enter/exit an area/.

Other camera features include; H.265+ video compression, PoE built-in, a motorised zoom lens and super WDR.
