The Synology NVR1218 is a 2-bay Network Video Recorder which is designed for use with IP camera systems and is able to support up to a maximum of 12 channels. The NVR1218 can be easily set up for use with a computer or a monitor and can be accessed remotely via the Synology Surveillance Station or DS cam mobile application. The NVR1218 comes with 4 camera licenses pre-installed meaning 4 IP cameras can be attached to the NVR. In order to expand this further (max. 12) additional licences will need to be purchased.
