Appears to be alloy, coated with a thick layer of silver paint. Can be used either way up and a definite improvement over the included stand being more substantial and an allen key used to lock the adjustable parts. Plenty of adjustment options so it was easy to set the camera to point exactly where I wanted.

Used with IP8332 and the only problem was the large hole in the fixing plate was not big enough for the camera cable to pass through as I was mounting one camera on a wooded facia board and wanted to connect the cable behind it with the minimum amount showing. Easy enough to enlarge the hole with the drill.

I have now purchased a second one. (Posted on 12 August 2013)
